About

Cleveland Schmooze is a bi-weekly podcast about the history and modern day life of Jews in the Greater Cleveland area, created by Rachel and Robin Rood. We’ll gab and kvetch with locals about their Jewish identity and culture, and get a better picture of Jewish life in Cleveland through the decades.

About the Creators: Rachel Rood works as a public radio producer in Cleveland. She previously worked as a producer at NPR in Washington, DC for All Things Considered. And before that, she received her master’s degree in journalism from American University. Robin Rood is a registered dietitian with a master’s in Judaic Studies from Siegal College. She is heavily involved in the Sisterhood at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation in Pepper Pike and was a past Sisterhood President. Robin is also Rachel’s mom.
